[ICOM] Question about the original 706

John,

Icom did understand the benefits of a cool rig but I wish you had worked 
there during the time the original 706 was marketed. I was on the tech 
support line and got chewed on by many owners for the fan noise in the 
original 706. So we went to the factory and asked if they could do anything 
about the fan running all the time. they did in the 706MKIIG. Its 
thermostatically controlled.

Its interesting to me since I have now seen the fan request come full 
circle to now wishing it ran all the time.
