[ICOM] HM-77 microphone

Greeting from Cape Town,

I have an IC-281H with the HM-77 microphone which appears to have an
occasional fault when pushing the PTT (it does not transmit). I have
checked the PTT switch and cable for breaks but the fault does not show
up when checking with a meter.

Q1. Are there any common problems with these microphones that are known
to the members of the list?

Q2. Can I use the HM-103 on my IC-281H to check if the problem is with
the radio or the microphone?
