Hi Everyone,

After much soul searching I have reached a decision to offer my flawless
IC-775DSP for sale. A very special radio for your consideration.

It was bought new November 2002, a FINAL production run unit (s/n 2722) so
every factory update is installed. This rig is one of the very last to be
sold the USA being purchased new by me from Jim Smith at Burghardt Amateur
Center after they obtained the last 80 units from ICOM America at the time
of the 775DSP closeout.

I am a non-smoker and radio has been used about 50 hours (no contesting
here). Kept under covers when not in use. Meticulous appearance. I bought it
to 'scratch an itch' and now want to move on to try other transceivers.

It has the CR-282 TCXO installed. Rock solid frequency stability and
accuracy.

I have performed the following to enhance filtering: The stock FL-80 was
replaced with an a new ("NOSE") ICOM FL-70 identical to the FL-80 except
rated at 2.8 Khz @ -6 db to broaden out audio response. The stock FL-96 has
been replaced with a new ICOM FL-257 rated at 3.3 Khz @ -6db to further
enhance receive and transmit audio. The results are tremendous. (Several
others have done this change over the years and reported similar results on
various reflectors and reviews.)

Then...A NEW "NOSE" FL-80 was installed (via a custom pc board to match
pin alignment on the 775 Main Board) in the 'narrow' 9 Mhz slot and a NEW
"NOSE" FL-44A was installed in the other 'narrow' 455 Khz slot. This
combination of filters provides both smooth transmit and receive audio as
well as selectable and enhanced narrower receive selectivity without an
extremely 'pinched' audio response that the FL-222 and FL-223 tend to
produce. Should you wish to restore the original filtering, the original
FL-80 and Fl-96 will be included as extras with the rig.

The FL-102 AM filter is also installed.

ICOM owners and SERVICE manuals are included. It will be shipped in the
original ICOM double boxes.

Ship anywhere lower 48 for $2,195.

A rare find for enthusiasts of a purebred transceiver further enhanced for
superior receive and transmit audio and selectivity on demand.

A better specimen of this radio you will not find.

Check me out at QRZ.com. I am well known on the ICOM and Ten Tec reflectors
for many years. I play the trading game fair and square.

E-mail me with your questions or interest. dhhdeh at concentric.net
