I am a great fan of the Sony AV-7506 phones, the studio monitor version of 
the MDR-V600s, I believe. On those few occasions when I operate phone, I use one 
of the Heil products.
  
No, the Heil's aren't as comfortable as the Sony's, and lack the very clean 
recovered audio, but they have a great microphone which stays where I place it. 
 

Asking about "best headphones" is a lot like asking about the best radio (or 
vehicle, or fishing rod).  Depends what you want to do, and how much you want 
to spend.  The e-Ham equipment review section has reviews on dozens of 
headphone; you'll find lots of ideas there.
