[ICOM] 706 successor?

Hi John,

The display is 5 cm. The French-language page implied  that the dimensions
of the 7000 will be the same as those of the 706, except that the case will
be 2 cm shorter.

(Napoleon won my weights-&-measures war in the 1950's. I grew up with the
metric system; ye kynges ffoote joined the stable much later in my life.)

I am not sure they were correct that the display is
5", as that would make it a very big mobile radio.
Might as well just put in 756PROIII in the mobile
then.
