Hi Everyone,
I have the following ICOM filters for sale new and in the box. Most were
purchased by me from various retailers as 'NOS'.
1) RARE: FL-257. (3.3 Khz @ -6 db) Use to replace the FL-96 in the
IC-765 or IC-775DSP to
open up receive and transmit audio slightly without severely degrading basic
selectivity. Two retailers have told me that this filter has been
discontinued and will soon be unavailable anywhere. This filter is new,
unused and in the box. Cost $175 new. Sell for $145.00 Shipped via Priority
Mail. This is a 455 Khz Filter.
2) RARER: FL-44A. (2.4 Khz@ -6 db) The last of the best. This 455Khz
filter was obtained
last fall from Maes Electronics in Belgium as 'NOS' during a closeout by
them. Can also replace the FL-96 in many ICOM transceivers for sharper
bandwidth performance. Recognized as the best 455 Khz filter ever offered by
ICOM, it was discontinued circa 1997. This is one is new, unused and in the
box. Cost $195.00 new. Sell for $165.00 shipped Priority Mail. At this
price, it will move fast I am sure! Lots of these show up used from 'parts
radios' on eBay but not too many are truly 'NOS'. Yes, yes, the INRAD #109
is
comparable but this is the Real McCoy, an ICOM FL-44A for you purists!
(Like me :-0) This is a 455 Khz Filter.
3) RAREST: FL-70. Identical match (drop-in; solder leads) to the FL-80
except it has a bandwidth of 2.8 Khz at -6db making it a slightly wider
bandwidth for more pleasing audio in receive and transmit without a major
sacrifice to selectivity. AN IDEAL replacement for the stock filter
(FL-30?) in the IC-765 (which even ICOM recognized is a piece of junk). Can
also be used in the IC-775DSP for a match to the FL-96 stock filter. I have
another FL-70 in my 765 an it rocks! This one is unbelievably new, unused
and in the box! Cost $85 new. Sell for $75 shipped Priority Mail. These are
seldom found used, yet alone new, and never seen as 'NOS' anymore. This is
a 9 Mhz Filter.
