Using the formula the answer might be something like 270, so you would
install a diode in N200, N40, N20 and N10 = 270. You could not add up and
go over 1000 though and the formula answer had to be a whole number.
Answers like 270.5 would not work in the H6.
Seems to me Pin 14 was N1000 and Pin was N2000. We used to tack jumper
wires onto those pins and feed those lines of N through diodes to the
channel(s) that needed a N of 1000 or 2000 line.
Also there was a jumper you could cut and drop the range by 10 MHz but it
did not drop into the 2 meter band. Yes others played games with the
crystals to get frequencies they needed.
I need the formula in front of me and then I can figure out what you
have. Seems to me it was 4 times the crystal.
Ok just got off the phone with Icom and they have some information. I'll
slip by there Thursday or Friday and pick up a copy.
We should be able to get the H-6 figured out and instruct you how to
program it and maybe move it to 2 meters if you want to buy Xtals.
