[ICOM] ICOM H6 programming help

I have no idea as to whether the VCO or other
tuned circuits would move far enough to do it,
but carrying through with the crystal frequency
scheme for X202 and X203 as shown below may
do the trick for ham coverage.

Freq Range X202 X203

145.005 - 150.000 30.77625 35.00125

140.005 - 145.005 29.52625 33.75125

Hi Gary

I have the service manual for it. It doesn't really tell you where to put
the diodes
for any particular frequency.

There is a chart showing operating frequency range using one of 4 crystals.
You are right.
It will not work into te 2 meter band. So I was hoping I could program with
2 channels
on the Red Cross frequencies that are in use in this area. One simplex and
one repeater
frequency. I look after some of their Motorola radios for them as a
volunteer. No charge
to them. I am a retired radio tech, and it gives me something to do.

Looking at the xtals that are in the radio and looking at the chart, makes
me wonder what the
heck the radio was used for before, as neither the X202 Receive or the X203
Transmit xtals
are the 4 listed in the manual for the frequency range of 150.005 thru
170.000 MHz.

Original xtal frequencies were as follows.

operatig frequency range X202 X203

150.005 ~ 155.000 32.02626 36.25125

155.005 ~ 160.000 33.27625 37.50125

160.005 ~ 165.000 34.52625 38.75125

165.005 ~ 170.000 35.77625 40.00125

In it are 33.070 for X202, and 37.305 for X203. Rather strange
