[ICOM] Icom C-IV

I purchased an Icom CI-V off ebay and I don't feel this is a real Icom 
product internally.  First, the circuit board has no Icom marking and 
the wiring does not appear to be Icom quality as I have seen in the 
past.  The unit does have the 9 pin rs232 interface which differs from 
the pdf manual which shows the 25 pin connector I have downloaded - no 
manual came with the unit.  In addition, the schemetic indicates a 5 
volt voltage regulator, 78L005, for the 9-15 volt source yet there is 
none on the circuit board.  Does anyone have picture of the board of a 
unit that has the 9 pin rs323 so I can compare.  Is there anything else 
that I can look for to indicate this is a real Icom product other than 
the top of the case which says ICOM CI-V RS 232 Interface?
