[ICOM] IC-02AT Heating Up

Is it normal for the back cover of an IC-02AT to get very warm when powering
the radio from an external source through the "DC IN" jack on the top?  This
is on receive, not transmit.  I've just recently started using the rig in
the car, taking power from the power point to the radio.  I've never seen
this with a battery pack, even the BP-8.
