[ICOM] 756 Pro III vs. Tentec Orion

I have been a long time Icom user and very much love
Icom equipment.  I currently have both a 706 MkIIG and
a 746 Pro.  I have been considering an upgrade and
have been looking at the 756 Pro 3 and the Tentec
Orion.  I am a big DX nut and, although I love my
Icoms, the concept of the narrow front end roofing
filters on the Tentec and more manual control of the
radio, along with positive reports from some of the
top DX'ers, have got me wondering if the Orion is the
better DX radio and worth the extra $1k investment.

Will you please give me your feedback based on what
you've experienced and heard?
