Not sure why cost of a battery would be more
than the O2AT is worth. Any working HT should
be worth replacing the battery. Lots of places
sell the inserts to replace the dead cells.

Hi Folks,
In a weak moment, I bought out an estate with some ham gear. There is an
Icom IC02AT handy.
Does anyone have a battery laying around for this beast?? The orig is
shorted. It will not take a charge and even if 12V DC is plugged into the
pack, the rig will not turn on.
The rig works fine with the batt off and 12 V DC plugged into the top of the
rig.
I am looking for something cheap as the cost of a new batt exceeds the worth
or the radio.
