[ICOM] Scratchy Noise IC-706 when mobile

I've an original IC-706.  When it is mounted in the 

RV with the remote cable, I get a scratchy noise when

I turn the tuning knob.  When the head is not remoted,

it works fine.  

The scratchy noise is on all bands.

Any suggestions?
