You can determine which of the three wires is AF out by tuning the rig to an
audible signal and monitoring each wire with a scope; the AF out should be
obvious. If its not, proceed no further, as you don't want to risk grounding
an output.

Set the rig's RF power out to minimum and tune to clear frequency.
Successively ground each of the two remaining wires; the one that puts the
rig in transmit is PTT. The remaining wire is AF in.

Subject: [ICOM] Rig Expert Tiny To IC-718 13 Pin ACC Socket

Has anyone purchased the Rig Expert Tiny CI-V-1 interface with the 4 pin DIN

plug and successfully converted it to a 13 pin DIN for the IC-718? I
purchased a Bux Comm 13 pin DIN plug with the cable already soldered on and
need to attach it in place of the 4 pin DIN plug.

Unfortunately no schematic comes with the "Tiny" so there is no way for me
to determine which of the three "black" colored wires to the 4 pin DIN plug
are PTT, AF in and AF out. I looked on the Rig Expert website under
schematics and don't even see a 4 pin DIN plug that I could trace out.

Any input would be much appreciated. BTW I own MixW v2.16.
