[ICOM] Looking for Parts for an IC 725

Greetings and Salutations Folks
Newbee here, so forgive please, if I don't do something according to
protocal, but here's one reason I joined this reflector...
A friend of mine just gave me a basket case IC 725 that had been
damaged in shipping. It was dropped maybe on it's face, and the front
panel crunched in, breaking the circuit board in several places, and the
LCD is broken bad too... I think I could fix the curcuit board with a
dozen or so soldering and bridges, but the LCD is not fixable. I don't
know what ICOM would charge for this piece, but was hoping to find
another basket case, maybe the finals blown, or hit by lightning where I
could scavage a few parts. the LCD number is

# HLC9599-01-3210

The rig came with schematic and most all the parts, except the fan,
knobs, filter, cabnit and all the nuts and bolts are missing. The thing
was taken apart a couple of years ago, so you know the story there...
I've checked it over, and several of the mounting plates and such are
there, so If I ever did get the thing running again, I could always make
my own cabnit if I can't find that basket case... The circuit board
looks to be double sided, (I was hoping it would not be multi layered
like much of the computer stuff)so the soldering while small in some
places, should be fairly straight forward. I don't think the straining
went too hard on the IC and other parts, the damage is mostly to the
board itself.
So my question to you good people is this... IS the LCD easily
found??? or might ask the second question do you know of any parts
rigs laying around, and I could just rebuild the thing??? Thanks for
your time and energy on this matter, and hope all is going well with you
and yours...
73 and Merry Christmas
Bill
