Howard,

I am controlling the IC-746 via the CI-V bus and the '746 has software
xmit control.  I can press a software button on the HRD "control
panel" and activate PTT.  I don't need an external PTT circuit.  That
would usually be accomplished by using a COM port's RTS or DTR lead to
control a switching transistor and or relay.
