Hi Dave,

Required reading when connecting an Icom transceiver to an amplifier whose
keying V/I rating exceeds 16V/0.5A;

http://www.qsl.net/icom/auxrelay.html

You will need to replace relay RL691 on the MAIN UNIT board. Here is the
Icom spares ordering information; you can purchase the relay from Icom UK.

MAIN UNIT RL691 ICOM P/N: 6330000540 DESCRIPTION: RELAY OMR-109F

You can download the service manual from mods.dk or here:

http://www.qsl.net/icom/manuals.html

Or: http://www.marcucci.it/english/download/index.htm

Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] IC-756Pro Linear amp SEND relay kaput

Hi Guys
Looks like I've just "blown" the non-Icom Linear amp control SEND relay
contacts, (max 16V).
This port's now stuck to ground, permanently "ON" tx.
Seems my own fault for carelessly connecting it for a few moments to my
TL922 that has +100v RL control line. (Altho' you'd think this facility
could be made more versatile & robust.) Wonder if anyone knows how to go
about fixing this fault or is it a job for the Icom workshops?
Mni tnx in advance for any help
73 Dave G4GED
