[ICOM] Another R-7000 question

yes, and i have been powering it that way for over 10 years, along
with my other icoms running on 12-14 vdc.( With the jumper out and 12
vdc applied.)
That way I am NOT using the built-in power supply which does generate
some heat... My molex jumper is on a tether , so it will not get lost.
