There are so called  "Bias-T"s aka "DC injector"s on the market which serve 
exactly that purpose  to protect the rig from DC voltage on the RF input. I 
would either carefully  check the schematics and make sure that DC isn't 
harmful or use one of those  Bias-Ts.

Ekki, unfortunately, no one around here sells anything like that. I picked  
up an RS amp today that comes with the DC injector (they do NOT sell them  
separately). It covers from 50 to 2300 Mhz. It works (at 162 Mhz) about the same  
or slightly better than the Channel Master 50 to 900 Mhz unit I had....But not 
 $35 better, Haven't tried it waaaay up there yet.
