The problem you describe with your 920 could very well be in the power 
output stages, which are usually leaded (not surface mount) components.

I have found that I can purchase the required equipment and do the repairs 
myself for less $$$ than having someone else do the work.  And I get the 
work done the way I want it and in a timely fashion.
