[ICOM] PRO/PRO2 vs. 775DSP

The reason I said it was stopped is that Ten-Tec usually has a unit ready to
go into production when the other one is "discontinued" - this isn't what is
happening.

The Orion is not being made, the Orion II isn't being made yet.

If you mean "pulled" as in a prescription drug that will NOT be sold not
matter what - then you are correct.

If I mean "pulled" as in "too many production problems" and "engineering has
some ideas to fix it but it must be done in hardware, not software", then I
believe I have used the word correctly.

I can't supply further details without breaking confidences - is the ORION a
bad radio? No - but when certain problems exist so that customer service
costs start eating into corporate profit (the life blood and breath of
buisness), then measures must be taken to maintain profitability and
viability and confidence.

Call it what you want to - but I do T-T a compliment on making a sound
business decision.

David,

The TT Orion has not been "pulled", rather it's been replaced ...
As in the Orion II, shades perhaps of the 756 then the 756 Pro?

I am certain many are watching closely to see what's next from TT.
