Charles,
The original box is very poor for shipping. I would not use it to ship.
Your best and safest bet will be to buy a big (at least 6 inches on every
side of the amp) very heavy duty thick wall box and take it locally to
someone that will hot foam pack it inside this box. This will be the best
box to ship the amp in, and will last a lifetime.
Good luck, Saad N5FF

Subject: [ICOM] PW1 boxes and packing materials
Does anyone have the inner and outer boxes for a PW1 that they are willing
to sell? It would need to be complete, that is, with all internal packing
material (styrofoam, etc). I recently purchased a PW1, but the original
owner had disposed of the boxes. ICOM parts told me they do not sell
original shipping boxes.
Thanks, Charles, K4ZRJ
