[ICOM] [Fwd: RE: IC-756 Display]

Hi Mac,

That is correct. Goods purchased in the EU for export outside the EU are
VAT-exempt. Still, £216 = $386 shipped. That is quite costly - but it is an
investment which will transform an otherwise working IC-756 from a "Hangar
Queen" into a usable radio.

A call to Icom Parts in Bellevue WA may be in order. 1-800-USA-ICOM, ask for
Parts.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

If they are going out of EU, the VAT should not apply, right?
In any event, the investment in the 756 is already high.
If the cost to replace the display is not worth it, what does that say about
the value of the 756?

The new display is quite an investment.
