[ICOM] Re 746 Pro Puzzle

Duane,

I have the original 746 but I'm sure the keypad is the same.  As you know, each
button has two functions.  When you press the 'F/INPT' button the alternate
function is selected.  The alternate function of the 'GENE' button is the
decimal point.  The alternate function of the '144' button is 'ENT' or 'enter'.

You had everything correct up to the point when you entered the last digit of
the frequency.  After the last digit press the '144/ENT' keypad button, not the
'F/INPT' button.
