Commander will display (and record) the message traffic between your 775 and
PC. Its free, and available via www.qsl.net/dxlab . I'll be happy to examine
any message traces you capture and tell you what's going on -- just be sure
to set the message capture mechanism to hexadecimal.

Subject: [ICOM] 775 DSP- how to trouble shoot the rig control circuit?
My 775 DSP quite responding to any rig control or software I try to use with
it. (DX4Win & Writelog) Both work fine with my 746 so I know the computer,
software and cable to the rig are good. I know how to set up the right
addresses, that not the problem.
I traced the connection of the jack on the rear panel to the main control
board for continuity, all checks good to that point. When using a logic
probe, it does show activity of some kind at the jack. Any suggestions on
how to troubleshoot this further?
