[ICOM] CI-V "transceiver" mode?

The analog voltage does not give discrete values for 12, 17 and 30 meters. 
Perhaps K8LH's box does?

Why not use the band decoder analog voltage output?  Just use a PIC or AVR
with a built in A/D converter.  Seems to me it would be a lot less work.
