[ICOM] IC-7800 and PW-1

Hi Bob,

As far as I am aware, the IC-7800 does not reset its maximum RF output when
the PW1 is enabled. The RF Power control should be set just above the point
where the ALC levels the PW-1 output at 1kW. 

During PW-1 setup, it is essential to calibrate the ALC in accordance with
the instructions on p. 11 of the PW-1 user manual. The exciter's RF output
should be set to 100W for this procedure. This applies to any exciter.

If using the 7800 at max power does one have to remember to cut the power
back to 100W when you engage the amplifier or does the 7800 know that you
have the amp button pressed on the PW-1?
