On the Config window's General tab, uncheck "Continuous Freq and Mode
interrogation".

Dave... I'd like to test this with the ProII and PW-1... but I've forgotten
how to set to "not poll" 73, Jerry K3BZ

If you configure the radio's "CI-V transceive" menu option to "on" and
configure the software to not poll, is this problem eliminated?

The problem you describe, while annoying, is (in my experience) fairly
normal. It results from the software polling the radio at the same time the
radio is sending its changed frequency information and the same time that
the amp does its every ten-second polling of the radio.

I have had a PW-1 now for about a month and has been working great. Decided
since it was working so good I would try using some type of rig control/
logging software with it. So added in the CT17 interface which I had used
before when I was using the just the radio. Now the problem starts. Tuning
across any band either with the VFO or the software every once in awhile the
amp band relays will click and the band display on amp will jump from
whatever band I am using to 80M then back to the band I am on. Shut down the
software and problem goes away. Rig and amp works fine using the CT17 with
no software running. Running the CT17 from a wall wart and the rig from an
Astron power supply. I am tempted in running the interface from same power
supply. The software I was using is Ham Radio Deluxe. Might try another
software package but so far I love this one when I was running just the
radio. Anyone else had this problem before.
