Answer both at once.
Yes this is annoying but also harsh on the relays too I think. Most of the
time there is about 10 seconds between hits if I am turning the VFO.
Sometimes its more than one hit at a time, had as many as 3 in a row back to
back.
Ok I had the CI-V transceive on but with HRD its hard to tell if your
turning off Polling or not. In the comms setup there is an option labeled
Polling The description is vague "Only Poll Radio if HRD is active
Program". Does this mean with this option not checked it polls all the time?
Well I tried it either way and the relays still take a hit. I think we are
close but would love to be able to run HRD without all the clatter and
shorten life of relays. Going to send Simon a note and see what he has to
say.
Thanks,
Bill K4IBC

If you configure the radio's "CI-V transceive" menu option to "on" and
configure the software to not poll, is this problem eliminated?

The problem you describe, while annoying, is (in my experience) fairly
normal. It results from the software polling the radio at the same time the
radio is sending its changed frequency information and the same time that
the amp does its every ten-second polling of the radio.
