[ICOM] Icom 775 w/DSP upgrade Questions

Marty, 

You didn't say which microphone you are using with the 775.  I have an Icom
775DSP, and I am running a Heil HM-1 for the Icom.   Older Icom rigs,
including the 775, tend to have low audio gain.  Once I switched over the
Heil HM-1, I can talk the pants of the rig.

I am a new owner of an 775 with the DSP upgrade. I really like the radio and
would like to be able to search the archives? It seems like I have
gravitated to Icom mostly for various reasons although I have had other
brands I liked too. I currently have the 775, 756 PROII and a 706 MIIG. I
have a question about the speech processor setup as I don't seem to get the
meter deflection on the radio's meter that I should although there is plenty
of audio.
