[ICOM] Difference between FL-53 and FL-53A?

  Hans:
    I have had both filters, the difference is that the
FL-53 and the FL52 were designed for the older IC-730,
IC-740 rigs.  The FL-52A & FL-53A have less height top to
bottom than the FL-52/53. I found this out when I tried to
put an FL-52 (250hz) in an IC-751. It wouldn't fit (was too
tall). Other than the physical external dimensions, the two
filters function the same.  Hope this helps, tnx de Gary
