See comparative analysis of contemporary transceiver performance on 
receive by Tadeusz, SP7HT, in Sept/Oct 2004 NATIONAL CONTEST JOURNAL. 
It has the weakness of relying on ARRL numbers at 5khz, rather than 
independent measurements at 2khz, as Sherwood does, but Tad's results 
and Rob's are in general quite consistent.  Both rate Orion, IC-7800, 
Omni's, and IC-775/781/765 as top performers, which is certainly 
consistent with much reported real-world DX/contest experience.
