Jerry,
I have a 4-KL and I solved the dust problem by buying some "open cell
foam" from Wal-Mart. The kind that is used for air filters on fans etc.,
It's about 1/8 inch thick and comes in a plastic bag. Unfolded , it's maybe
2 ft X 2ft one piece sheet. Cut with sissors to the size of your air intake
openings. Then get some "stick on" hook and loop fastners (also Wal-Mart).
Use the "Hook" part only and stick on the perimeter of the air intake
openings.. The foam will stick right to it. Then about every 4-6 months or
when they look dirty (easy to see), just pull them off and wash them or blow
them off with compressed air and reapply. The foam doesn't seem to restrict
the flow of air at all. Kind of like your furnace filter. After 4 years the
inside of my 4-KL is just as clean as new. Total cost was about $4.... Jim
