I had the same problem with a IC706. I dumped the Icom and installed a
FT-100D and the noise problems were solved. I suggest you do the same if you
are looking for a solution to noise. The Yaesu rigs have noise
blanker/limiter that actually work! Install an Yaesu rig in your vehicle and
you will never look back.
