Hi Mike et all,

I thought a Beverage antenna was for receiving not transmitting! Did I get
this wrong?

Hi Mike,

A few questions:

1. Do you have the Beverage antennas connected to the RCV ANT jack on the
756Pro2?

2. Also, assuming that the PW1 Input 1 socket is connected to the ANT1
socket on the 756Pro2, do you have ANT1/R selected on the Pro2 ANT softkey?
(Press and hold the key to select ANT1/R if ANT1 is displayed).

3. Does the PW1 power output meter indicate any output at all when you key
the exciter with the Beverages connected?

It is possible that you accidentally selected ANT2/R, in which case the PW1
would not get any RF drive although the received signal would get through.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

I have the 756 PRO II and IC-PW-1 combination and I have been largely happy
with it for almost 3 years. I put up two bi-directional beverage antennas
this summer that work fantastically with the 756 PRO II when operated
barefoot, but not the combined units do not function when I try to use them
with the PW-1 engaged. The PW-1 acts like it has no antenna at all when it
is "keyed" and does not function although it does not go into the "Amp
Protect" mode. The beverages do work when the 756 and PW-1 are not keyed.
I have no clue what the problem could be. Has someone had this problem and
found the cure?

For the record I do disengage the Tuner on the 756 PRO II when I have the
PW-1 engaged.
