Hi Elan,

I seriously doubt the need for a post-AGC outboard audio filter when using a
DSP-based transceiver such as the IC-756Pro series, IC-7400 or IC-7800. You
can precisely define the IF bandwidth via the Filter menu and Twin PBT
controls, and notch out a single tone with the Manual Notch. All these
operations will be inside the AGC loop.

The IC-7400 and IC-7800 have receive tone controls as well.

In the old IC-781 days, I had a JPS NIR-12 in the shack, but it accompanied
my 781 to its new home when I switched over to DSP-based HF gear.
