Elan, Isaac,

I realise that the overheating on your (Elan's) Pro2 was a problem affecting
a specific radio.

In my experience, my IC-756Pro II (S/N 26XX) does not overheat. The ambient
in my shack is 18ºC, and the case temperature after 2 hours' operation is
approx. 35ºC.

In any event, the Pro II is discontinued and limited to stock-on-hand. I
would recommend that Isaac purchase a Pro III, as it incorporates some
significant improvements over the Pro II. If you do pick up a Pro2, any S/N
> 2000 should do fine.
