[ICOM] Pro 2 vs. 746 Pro

I used the PROII during the 160m cw contest. I think that contest is the
ultimate test for IMD. Thousands of KW stations piled up in one small
area on the dial. I left the bandwidth at about 100hz and was really
impressed with how well it performed. Occasionally I would hear a few
beeps and grunts that were the result of intermod but nothing strong
enough to prevent a QSO. Perhaps if the KW station was next door to me
or maybe in a multi-station setup it would be a different story. In that
case I might invest in some outboard bandpass filtering from ICE or
someone. The scope in the PROII is very additive and the scope on the
746pro is almost useless. I had the 746pro for a short time and didn't
compare the strong signal performance so I can't help you there. I doubt
if there is enough difference to notice.
