I heard it on the ICOM net the other week. Sounds very good. It is also
interesting that both elements can be enabled at the same time as well as
separately. Does anyone know what the approximate cost will be? I am
guessing it will be around $200.

I may have missed it if someone has written about the new Heil PR-780
microphone on the list before, but while looking for some parts for a Heil
mic on their website a few minutes ago, I noticed the announcement for Bob
Heil's new PR-780 mic.

>>>>
"The wizards at Heil Sound have been working with ICOM AMERICA for nearly a
year in the development of a very special microphone for a very special
transceiver. The PR 780. A dual element, high quality studio microphone with
a very special wide frequency response dynamic element and, at the request
of Dr. Inoue, the President of ICOM, the Heil PR 780 also has the world
famous tailored response Heil HC element".

It is a great looking mic made specifically for the IC-7800 and the IC-745 &
756 Pro series radios.
