But the part above it referenced to EXTERNAL or "OUTBOARD" tuners - WITH
adapter cables.  I just remembered that the AH-1 worked too.  And without
the adapters.  I had forgotten that it had to be set up initially until a
later post.  It did require the EX-202 LDA unit, I remember buying one in
Bamburg.

"Any of the Icom outboard autotuners such as the AT-150, AT-100, AT-500 will
work with the IC-730 - as long as the radio is fitted with the EX-202 LDA
Unit. The LDA furnishes the 0 ~ 8V band-setting voltage. An adapter cable
may also be required."

I guess bringing up old memories of other similar equipment in now a
questionable practice here?  Perhaps you read more into it than was
intended.
