The AH-1 was the fore-runner of the AH-2 and AH-3, and designed specifically
for the IC-730 although it may have worked with other radios of the era.  It
was an "AUTO" tuner of sorts, since once tuned, it would switch to the
proper band automatically.  It certainly was not a "manual" tuner in any way
after initial set-up.  It did lack bandwidth on lower freqs.  But on
10-15-20 it was fine.

A matter of words - like the definition of the word IS.

None-the-less, the AH-1 did automatically switch the antenna from band to
band, and was made specifically for the 730.
