[ICOM] IC-735 on 60 meters

Trying again:

A question was posed in the July 2003 Archives re putting the 735 on 60 mtrs
and could it be done?

The short answer is YES!. Simply do the out of band diodes cut and away you
go, remembering on 60M the 50 watt ERP max limit and the channelization and
USB only requirement. There are no difficulties with band pass problems as
suggested by one responder. This rig performs perfectly on 60M. (as does the
706IIG). 60 meters is a perfect, semi-quiet round-robin rag-chew or mobile
frequency that covers like
40 in the daytime and 75 at nite, and would be great for emergency ops if
that
need ever comes about.
