> Hello Joe,
> The PS 125 is pretty easy to change, all you have to do is undo a million
screws and look for the two input capacitors, there should be a jumper wire
that is set for 100v. All you have to do is to move the small grey (I think)
from 100v to the 200v position.
>
> All this is doing is removing the voltage doubling the 110v to nominally
280 - 320v. In reality the wire isn't connected to anything in the 200 (read
230v) position as it is just an island for the pin to be soldered into.
This then makes it just a full wave rectifier for 220 v and the DC rail goes
to about 300 to 320v.
>
> Don't know why they didn't label it 200v etc, but there you go.
>
> Make sure yu have left the unit to discharge before playing with any
wiring as the input caps could have a bit of juice still left in them. I
have have done about 3 of these in ZL on the past for friends who have
bought rigs in from the USA.

I have the following 2 HTs up for trade for an Icom
T8A or T81A Multibander:
1. Kenwood TH-55 in excellent condition. This is a
1.2G 1 watt HT. Comes with AA battery case, antenna,
box, belt clip, and copy of manual and service manual.
2. Radio Shack HTX420 dual band (2/440) HT. Case
looks rough, but HT works great. Comes with LiON
battery, AA battery case, antenna, copy of manual, and
wall charger. THis is a great way for someone with an
Icom multibander to upgrade to LiON technology.
I would also entertain cash offers for either HT. Let
me know what you have for trade
