[ICOM] New Thread: Repair of ICOM IC-27H (or IC-27A)

Okay, now that the squelch problem of the 27A has
apparently been solved, I have a question pertaining
to both 27A and 27H.

Has anybody ever found replacement LED segments
for repair of the display?  I already replaced the entire
display at a horrible expense about 6 years ago.  My
27H was the rig I used for my packet BBS until 5
years ago.  I have not used the rig since 1999, but
now several segments have already gone dark.  I
REALLY don't want to spend $75 for a new display
unit and I could repair the display if I could locate
a source for the individual segments (which are
discrete).

Any help would be appreciated.
