I have used a 72' random wire and a 76' counterpoise with good results
on 80-10 and a 145' random wire and a 155' counterpoise with good
results on 160-10.
Here is a list of acceptable radiator lengths for use with the AH-4. The
counterpoise needs to be 5% longer.
27' (23-32)
40' (35-44)
58' (52-64)
76' (70-81)
95' (92-98)
109' (105-113)
145' (140-148)

years in a row. I shoot about 85 feet of wire into the trees, put down
4 radials about 50 feet long. Performs GREAT on 80m through 10m.
Relatively simple to set up for portable operation. Tunes nicely. Make
portable operation a pleasure.
