I assume you mean there's no power to the set and you get no indication
of anything....
This points to a bad power supply ground connection..... somewhere.
It looks like the power supply return is coming from the antenna cable
ground.
To test for this condition, remove the antenna connection. Then, by
hand, connect ONLY the outside shell of the connector to the threads of
the set's SO-239. Don't screw them together, just touch them shell to
shell. The center conductors should be connected to nothing.
If the set powers up, then you have a broken ground.
