You know when I bought my ole Pro I keep that plastic covering on the
front of the monitor screen for a long time. I have my screen set at a
reduce brightness (or what ever it is called in the menu) to try and
maybe extend the life of the monitor a wee longer. One day while doing
the ole dusting and cleaning on the radio equipment I touched screen with
the back of one of my fingers and noticed it was a wee warm and got to
thinking maybe that plastic (?) cover was trapping the heat (if thats
possible) in the glass cover. So I took it off for peace of mind, never
have really checked again but will tomorrow and see how warm it gets, or
if it does. BUT,,,,,, I thought some where in the past years when I got
one of my new radio that manufacture said to remove that protective cover
before operation. But I could be wrong, just wanted to through my 2 cents
worth in on the discussion, Mac (Fla. Mac)
