Hi Renee, Something else you might do a search for is the protective film 
used on Auto/Motorcycle Dirt track racing helmets. It is applied in several 
layers and is then stripped off a layer at a time as it becomes to dirty to 
see thru.I'll see if I can locate some when I have a few minutes .
