Hikers and outdoorsmen (like myself, check localhikes.com - TX - El Paso)
who carry a GPS receiver on our hikes for mapping and such have been using
the PDA screen protectors on our GPS receivers with great success.  There
was a lengthy discussion on which was the most readable.  Check
geocaching.com, go to the forums, and the GPS UNITS and SOFTWARE section,
and search for it.  Your problem might be finding one big enough to fit.
But if you are not touching it like you would a PDA, one should be enough.
