[Icom] IC-7800 Pricing Announced

Just picked up the following info off of the Ten Tec Reflector that was =
posted by an ICOM Marine Dealer:

"Just off the fax machine from Icom
MSRP $13,466.65 - and for those who think your dealer is making a ton
of money - the dealer cost is over $10K. My guess is street price
will settle in around $10,999 - $11,500.


Interesting note that it DOES NOT qualify for any dealer demo,
hamfest or other discount programs nor any National,  Icom Day or
Hamfest Coupons.

Now stating shipment around the end of April. They also refer to a
rumor about the delay in delivery and that "The truth of the matter
is that we are enabling the Ethernet port, which will be used in the
future upgrading the firmware via the internet!"

I think that if true, this pricing verifies that the intended primary =
market is not the Ham community.

Maybe a Pro III is not too far behind?
